I am trained and qualified as a facilitator of a somatic therapy called Neo Emotional Release.
It is a very simple and very effective technique which is adapted to a pace and a rhythm that is unique and natural to each individual.
Somatic experiencing, breathing techniques, touch, movement and subconscious visualisation are combined together as you are guided through an exploration of your inner world, allowing the processing and integration of whatever is currently taking you out of balance.
While talking based therapies can be useful, somatic approaches are incredibly effective in creating meaningful and lasting changes in your experience.
Your mental state is always a reflection of your emotional state, so without creating space for yourself emotional reality to be freely explored and felt, it is difficult to create lasting change within yourself.
Most of us have grown up learning to suppress and avoid certain emotions (often unconsciously), meaning our nervous systems feel unsafe in the presence of such emotions, leading to dysregulation, burn out and a broad spectrum of psychological and physical issues.
This is what makes this therapy so powerful.
Through attunement and co-regulation, we create a felt sense of safety in the body, allowing you to process the suppressed emotions, and incomplete stress responses that underpin the problems you are experiencing, clearing the way for lasting change within.
Through this process, any issues that you are faced with naturally find their way to resolution, fostering a far more peaceful and joyful experience of life, which ultimately is what we are all looking for.
